Autumn In Iceland
The nights are back and the first northern lights start dancing above our heads. Nature wears its burned colour coat and brings upon us a melancholic state of mind. The birds take off to warmer skies. The farmers gather the sheep from the mountains. We pick blueberries, crowberries, make jam, juice and preserve this rich c-vitamin source for the long winter. We harvest wild cumin, arctic thyme, and angelica seed to season our lamb, bread and create healing tea blends. We light bonfires and let the storytelling begin. Winter is coming.
