Glacial Lagoon Winter Day Tour

Goecco on CNN

"If I were going to do one thing in Iceland, it would be to take a tour with Goecco," she said.

"The guides from this company take small groups out to extremely remote locations that are beautiful beyond imagination.

The guides are charismatic and offer an extremely unique perspective on both life in Iceland and its natural landscape."

“Take if from a PRO TRAVEL WRITER -- You will never, ever find a better guide!”

I felt like I was traveling with my best friend. If I could clone them and replicate them, placing them in every country I visit, I would do it. These guys are the best, not just in Iceland, but in general.

Destination of the Day!

Jokulsarlon is the best known and the largest of a number of glacial lakes in Iceland. It is situated at the south end of the glacier Vatnajokull between Skaftafell National Park and Hofn. Appearing first only in 1934-1935, the lake grew from 7.9 km² in 1975 to at least 18 km² today because of heavy melting of the Icelandic glaciers. Approaching a depth of 200 m, Jökulsarlon is now the deepest lake in Iceland.

Jokulsarlon is separated from the sea by only a short distance, and the combined action of the glacier, the river that empties from the lake, and the ocean may eventually transform it into an inlet of the sea. There are plans to prevent this from happening, since the only road in the area passes over the narrow isthmus.

On the way to the Glacial we will visit our secret sports, bathing Outdoor in the ash of Eyjafjallajökull, hiking behind a 70 m. Waterfall, exploring Basalt columns, Black magical beach and more and more, all after how the nature play´s along with us.

On the tour we will visit some of out secret stops, please help us to keep our secret stops as a secret.
Outdoor Wilderness Geothermal Bathing in a pool located at the by the glacier. Here we try to serve little snack and schnapps.

You drive from West to East (the South Shore) and there are countless things to explore on the way.

You will explore during daylight.  It is about the Glacial Lagoon and enjoying the „best of“ the South Shore

"The scenery was truely awe inspiring - black sands, lava fields, double rainbows, sandstorms, stark cliffs, the sunset and the glacial lagoon. I highly recommend GoEcco. "

"I recommend it to everybody travelling to Iceland, don´t miss this opportunity."

"I cannot recommend this company enough. I loved the tour I did with them along the south coast to Jokulsarlon so much that I changed my plans for the rest of my trip so that I could go to Snæfellsnes with them. It was certainly worth it"
